Sacramento Summers
Sacramento regularly hits 100°F+ in summer. The AC can keep up, but setting it too low (under 72°F) during peak afternoon heat strains the system and drives up energy costs — recommended setting: 74–76°F during the day, cooler at night if you prefer.
Thermostat location: Main hallway, between the living room and bedrooms.
Location: On the side of the house, right before the gate that leads to the backyard.

Every house has its personality. Here are the things worth knowing.
Front door
You may hear a noise from the front door now and then — that's normal. If the keyless entry is left open, it will automatically lock itself after 15 minutes.
Backyard entrance glass pane
The backyard entrance door has a crack inside the glass. Our contractors have looked at it and confirmed it's fine — no need for replacement.
Sliding bathroom doors
Both the downstairs bedroom and the second bedroom have their own private sliding doors to their bathrooms. If you're having trouble getting one to latch, lift the door slightly while sliding to get it to engage.
No key to the garage
There's no key for the door between the garage and the house. If it locks behind you, come around to the front door to get back in.
